Avoid extra visual embellishments, instead use a images, graphs, tables, or pictures to
help your audience understand your main point.
Reuse the images from
the first slide to show

This extra cooling dramatically reduces cycle time

Structure your talk in a logical way, and make clear transitions

Good presentations take time. Practice! Practice! Practice!

Develop a presentation that can be used on a job interview for an engineering internship, co-op, or fulltime position. The discussion should include some background information consistent with your resume
and a description of one or two highlights or examples from your school course work, a project, or
relevant previous industrial experience that would convince a hiring manager that you are the person that
should be hired.

The presentation must:

be combined into a single chart)

Use guidelines for effective slides as discussed and presented in class

Use guidelines for effective presentation delivery with a focus on voice, movement, and stage presence

Subject: Follow-up to On-Site Interview for Mechanical Engineering Position
To: Pratt & Whitney Representative 400 Main St East Hartford, CT 06118
Dear: HR Representative
I would like to thank you for the chance to participate in an interview for the Mechanical
Engineering role at Pratt & Whitney on April 14, 2023. As a prospective employee, I was
delighted to meet with you, my potential direct superior, the highest-ranking executive, and
several colleagues with whom I would collaborate if selected. I learned a lot about the
organization’s ethos, functions, and expectations through the interview process. A representative
from the Department of Human Resources provided a lot of valuable information. Through my
experience, I gained insight into the company’s overarching mission and how the Mechanical
Engineering department contributes to the achievement of the company’s goals. Having the
opportunity to gain further insight into the benefits package, corporate regulations, and
professional demeanor expectations was appreciated by the author. During the selection process,
I had an opportunity to meet my potential direct superior. A discussion of the team’s projects and
my potential contributions was considered important. Innovative thinking, safety, and customer
satisfaction are the hallmarks of the team. The supervisor provided honest feedback regarding the
company’s culture, job requirements, and possible obstacles associated with the position to the
author. I gained a more comprehensive understanding of the organization’s activities and
objectives after meeting the high-ranking executive. Mechanical Engineering team members
appreciated the manager’s insights regarding the company’s plans, growth opportunities, and role
in supporting the company’s mission. It was evident that the company appreciated its employees’
contributions and provided extensive opportunities for professional development. It was very
informative to accompany a potential colleague on a visit to the establishment. A thorough
review of the company’s operations, safety measures, and thorough work were conducted. As a
result of the tour, I was able to meet potential colleagues if I am hired. I gained valuable insight
into the team’s ongoing initiatives and future endeavors through the meeting with multiple
stakeholders I will collaborate with. I found the third presentation to be both fascinating and
enlightening. It was a pleasure to learn more about 1 Central Connecticut State University the
imaginative solutions devised by the team and the challenges they encountered. Passion,
dedication, and commitment to excellence were evident throughout the team.
