one case study to focus your assignment on:

Note: You will develop an organizational transformation plan for the selected
organization throughout this course.
Scenario: Assume the perspective of an individual employee within the selected
organization who has been recently designated to lead the organizational
transformation. Choose from among the positions identified in your chosen case study
or make up a position that is well-suited to your task.
Consider the following questions as you determine your leadership level:

Provide a rationale for your chosen case study and position.
Identify up to 3 drivers of organizational transformation that can be
undertaken at your position within the organization. These may be identified
within the case or through your own additional research.
Include, where appropriate, applicable graphs, charts, tables, and figures, which are
excluded from the page count minimum.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Write a 250- to 300-word response to the following:
Holbeche (2018) argues that “agility and its various components are essential for all
organizations” (p. 13). Barney and Hesterly (2019), however, contend that competitive
advantage only occurs if strategies create more value for customers than the costs of
providing various products or services. If organizational agility is a firm resource, then there
is clearly a cost to developing and maintaining this resource. Thus, agility will only create a
competitive advantage if it enables the firm to generate more revenue than the cost of being
agile.

With this consideration, do you agree with Holbeche that agility is essential for all
organizations? Why or why not?
Barney and Hesterly (2019) suggest several decisions that visionary organizational leaders
must make, such as establishing the firm’s mission, choosing among opportunities and
threats, and selecting the firm’s strategies.

What advice would you offer leaders who desire to make these high-quality
decisions?
